Description
A wire rope thimble is a protective, grooved metal fitting placed inside the eye or loop of a wire rope to maintain its shape and prevent wear. By providing a smooth, reinforced surface, the thimble shields the rope from abrasion, crushing, and deformation when it is connected to hooks, shackles, or other rigging hardware. This increases the ropes durability, strength, and safety during lifting, pulling, or securing applications.
