Gurit Kerdyn™

Structural foam core — recycled and recyclable. Thermoplastic foam based on recycled PET, developed to cut carbon footprint and materials waste.

Highly stable with good mechanical properties, lower resin uptake, and a strong balance of performance, cost, density and processability. Compatible with most resin systems (vinyl ester, epoxy, unsaturated polyester) and processes including vacuum infusion, prepreg, wet lay-up, bonding, kitting and thermoforming.

Handles high temperatures and exotherms, with outstanding chemical resistance, low water absorption and very good adhesion. Available in a wide range of densities and thicknesses, including a Lite sealed-surface version and finishing options (single/double cut, VIC, contour scrim) on request. Gurit can also kit to your requirements.

Typical uses: marine deck, floor, hull, structures, bulkhead and interiors; also wind energy, industrial and transport applications.
