Great news for boaties and trades on the Gold Coast — Marine Trade Supplies stocks OMC G43 galvanised anchor chain, cut to length and ready for your gypsy. We started carrying the line about a year and a half ago, and it has been a strong seller in the Coomera store and on the online shop.
OMC G43 is marine-grade short-link anchor chain from Ozzi Marine (also based here on the Gold Coast). It is produced specifically for the marine industry, calibrated to Australian standard size specifications, and each batch is sample-tested and certified through a NATA-accredited facility, with certificates available on request.
What’s in the range
We stock OMC G43 hot-dip galvanised chain by the metre in the everyday working sizes:
- 6 mm — suited to smaller craft and lighter ground tackle
- 8 mm — a common mid-size for trailerable and coastal boats
- 10 mm — popular all-rounder for many Gold Coast boats
- 13 mm — heavier ground tackle for larger vessels
According to Ozzi Marine, OMC G43 is Grade 43 (nearly 50% stronger than most common anchor chains), hot-dip galvanised to a minimum of about 85 microns, and calibrated short link so it runs cleanly through a matching Australian-size gypsy.

Why boaties choose OMC G43
When you are swapping out rusty chain or matching a new gypsy, calibrated short-link chain that meets Australian sizing makes life easier. The heavier galvanising is there for Australian conditions, and the Grade 43 rating is aimed at strength when it matters — overnight at anchor or waiting out a blow.
