SMALL VESSELS MANUAL

The Small Vessels Manual is directed as a training guide for the operations of small vessels in Australian waters. The application of this manual is across Australia’s marine industry. Its relevance is as a contemporary marine safety guide that will benefit those involved in vessel operations, marine training, considering a career within the maritime industry, or anyone living or working on boats.
This nautical manual has been produced in an environment where a single national maritime jurisdiction and a uniform approach to marine safety and regulation is in place, in 2016 the marine industry had a major move from the State government to the Federal government (Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA).
