Description
Fix1DC-High quality single component adhesive sealant used for Teak and Synthetic Teak caulking.
Fix1DC is a chemically neutral Silicone suitable for use in the Marine, Transport and Construction industry where a strong UV and soap resistant flexible rubber bond is required.
Suitable for caulking of seams in Teak, most other timber types, Cork and Synthetic Teak decking and will withstand all weather climatic conditions.
Chemically neutral Silicone.
Moisture curing and forms a permanent elastic product.
Free of isocyanates and solvents.
UV stable and colour fast.
Flexible elastic rubber with movement accommodation up to 30%.
Available in a 290ml cartridge and 600ml sausage in Black.
Applications
Fix1DC is suitable for the caulking of seams in Teak, most other timber types, cork and Synthetic Teak decking. Moisture content of timber should be below 11%. Please consult FixTech’s technical department for other substrates. Not recommended for external Beech Timber decks.
NOTE:
Do not use solvent, acetone, alcohol or similar type chemicals to wipe or clean Fix1DC.
Shelf life is 12 months in unopened packaging stored in a cool and dry storage between +5°C and 23°C (Maximum). Hotter storage will reduce shelf life significantly.
Fix1DC is not paintable. Paint, varnish and other coatings do not adhere to Fix1DC Deck Caulking. After sanding the deck and caulking, be sure to thoroughly clean any surrounding surfaces that are to be painted with a good industrial alcohol cleaner to remove any contaminants that may cause Fish Eye. Test surfaces before painting.
