PARTALL COVERALL PVA RELEASE FILM 3.79L Partall® Coverall Film is the new non-hazardous, low VOC water-based polyvinyl alcohol (PVA Parting Film) coating that acts as a barrier between parts and reactive mold surfaces. Partall® Coverall Film is also recommended for use on seasoned molds as extra protection against de-molding problems. Higher solids content aids production efficiency by providing greater protection with fewer coats applied saving labor, time and material. Improved formulation enhances use no fisheyes or cob webbing, self-leveling and faster dry film build up. The higher viscosity of Partall® Coverall Film allows application by brush, roller, sponge or cloth as well as excellent spray characteristics. Please replace cap on the container to stop evaporation and the product drying. Please download the Technical Data Sheet (Application Guide) for complete instructions. Coverall Film VS PVA Release Agent. 1. Coverall Film is water based, the film that is laid down by either spray, brush or sponge (wipe) is a more uniform thicker film than the PVA film. 2. Coverall Film will take longer to dry due to being water based. Therefore when spraying, light slightly dry coats are more beneficial as the film will self-level given the longer dry times. 3. The surface finish of the gelcoat taken from the Coverall Film surface will be a gloss finish, not dull as is the case with standard PVA release agents. 4. The film will be generally be on all of the surface of the product taken from the mould. 5. Coverall Film can be easily thinned with water. Traditional PVA release agent has been thinned with water but generally it is not recommended.
